About this recipe

Italian Wine - Spumante Brut with: Ciro Pirone

Located in the heart of the Dolomites, Rotari Brut is made only with Chardonnay grapes in the traditional Metodo Classico style. It is a blend of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. The Chardonnay expresses best its fresh and fruity character, the Rotari Brut is fragrant, intense and elegant. It is best as an aperitif, but ideal with all meals where a sparkling wine is desired.

The wine blog www.goodcheapvino.com says about this wine; “When you pour this wine in the glass and take your first sniff, you get a good and delicious mineral, yeasty smell and then citrus flavors. This sparkler is full of great flavors and soft on the tongue. It goes down easily. If you serve this sparkling wine to your guests, they will surely want to know what they are drinking so they can buy some. It is that good!”

Italian geography can be broken into five geographic wine-growing areas. The first area, Northeast Italy, is radiant with natural beauty from the magnificent Dolomites to unspoiled lakes, rivers and woodlands. The cool winds, the mixed climate that blends the mountainous conditions of the north and the temperate conditions of the Lake of Garda in the south, and the range of temperature represent the ideal environment for the cultivation of the grapes that make Rotari: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Technical notes: Produced with Chardonnay grapes that are selected and harvested by hand and originate exclusively from vineyards in the hills of Trentino.
The Rotari Brut is fragrant, intense and elegant. Straw Yellow in color.  Fresh, intense and fruity bouquet. On the palate is full, fragrant, harmonic, pleasantly balanced with a fine and persistent perlage or effervescence.
